Introduction
APU seeks to develop and offer programming that meets the healthcare workforce needs of Alaska. The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program offers the foundational skills needed to provide culturally safe, holistic care for Alaska Natives, Indigenous peoples, and other under-served populations across Alaska.
The ADN program at APU delivers relevant coursework with real-world projects and clinical placements. Our students are prepared for and supported in meeting their educational, professional, and community-driven goals through our unique programming.
The Associate Degree in Nursing program follows a cohort model that starts once a year in the Fall semester. Students admitted to the Nursing program can expect to complete the program in three semesters across 18 months, based on full-time enrollment.
