Here are just a few of the many options you will have:
Working as a health economics specialist, you compile cost-benefit analyses, design studies, and develop healthcare policy concepts. In your capacity as international market access manager, market strategies are your focus, working at the interface to align global and local market access. Or your future might see you setting the prices yourself – as pricing manager, you monitor the competition and keep a close eye on regional market specifics. Or you might also work in the field of regulatory affairs.
The closest contact with the real working world will be during your six-month internship in a state-of-the-art company or institution of your choosing. This will give you sufficient time and opportunity to experience strategic and decision-making processes first-hand. What you learn at university is invariably related to the real world and can be applied in your daily work. 80 percent of our students also do their Master‘s dissertation in the company or institution where they are doing their internship. During the program, you will have various coursework assignments, a project report and your dissertation. All this work is research-oriented and deals with subject matter that is highly relevant for your later career, but with a clear academic focus.
We work closely with various companies, in some cases in long-standing partnerships, where our students have completed their internship. We have an extensive network and are happy to assist in finding the right corporate partner for you. Some of the major companies that we have worked with in the past include, for example, Bayer, Merck, Roche, Simon Kucher, IQVIA, B. Braun, Janssen Cilag, or Braun Beteiligungs GmbH. In some cases, our students were then taken on by these companies. We cannot give any guarantee but there is most definitely a chance!
