Introduction
The respiratory care program at UT Health San Antonio is designed to prepare excellent clinicians. Our program provides students with a strong foundation in clinical practice, education, and research. As an entry-to-practice program, no prior health care experience is required for admission. In 2017, the program was reviewed by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and received a 10-year approval indicating full compliance with all accreditation standards.
The UT Health San Antonio received authorization from the State of Texas to offer the Master's of Science in Respiratory Care, beginning in 2015. Our program provides an excellent career opportunity to join the first-approved Master of Science in Respiratory Care professional degree program in Texas and is one of six in the entire nation. Our Master of Science in respiratory care is open to students with no prior health care experience.
