At UTS, the Master of Medical Biotechnology draws on the professional methodologies used in the university’s world-class microscopy, mass spectrometry, proteomics and biomolecular analysis facilities. It combines theoretical learning and extensive hands-on practice with a range of professional and leadership subjects that prepare students to deliver enhanced value to future employers. For those with an interest in academia or industry-facing research, extensive elective choices enable the acquisition of high-level research and research administration skills, as well as the opportunity to contribute to a real-world research project in a UTS lab. Explore the Master of Medical Biotechnology (Extension) Students with an interest in the Master of Medical Biotechnology should also consider the UTS Master of Medical Biotechnology (Extension), a two-year program of full-time study that includes an additional 24 credit points on top of the standard Master of Medical Biotechnology curriculum. Students who complete 48 credit points of biotechnology study, including core biotechnology and professional subjects, can transfer into the Master of Philosophy in Medical Biotechnology, which provides a pathway to a PhD.
