The Master's Programme in Health Economics, Policy and Management provides a global perspective on the medical management field and has a multidisciplinary approach. Medical management addresses how resources in the form of competence, knowledge, material and other assets can best be used and developed to improve human health.
The programme provides an opportunity for students to develop theoretical and practical skills for analyzing health and healthcare issues at the organizational and policy level. The objectives are to enhance their existing knowledge and skills of health economics, management and policy, and to help them gain a theoretical and conceptual understanding of the function of the health sector.

Graduates are well prepared for several positions in the private and public sectors, particularly authorities responsible for environmental and health issues, both in Sweden and abroad. The programme provides a solid foundation for graduates wishing to continue studies at the doctoral level (Ph.D.).

Specific entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree or a professional degree equivalent to a Swedish Bachelor's degree of at least 180 credits in public health science, healthcare or other relevant social sciences subject area. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary school course English 6/English B.
Proficiency in the English language can be documented by an internationally recognized test such as TOEFL, IELTS or other documentation that according to regulations certifies the equivalence of English 6/English B at Swedish upper secondary school.

The selection is based on an overall assessment of the applicant's qualifications such as previous education, relevant work and/or research experience and statement of intent. Letters of recommendation are not required.
