Introduction

The Master of Science with options to Agronomic, Veterinary, is a program of 169 credits of flexible modality, tutorial with focus in the collaborative research and centered in the interests of the student, who from his entrance opts for one of the following two areas of knowledge : Agronomic Sciences or Veterinary Sciences. Students who choose the Area of Agronomic Sciences develop a research project on Agro-Food Production and Safety or on Management of Agroecosystems and Natural Resources. For their part, students who opt for the area of Veterinary Sciences develop a research project related to Animal Production and Health. During the four academic semesters, the student designs and develops his thesis research, presents semiannual progress seminars, attends different compulsory and optional subjects and carries out complementary activities that are forming him as a researcher and specialist in the area. All students perform part of their academic and research activities outside the UAA, as a requirement for complementary activities and academic mobility. Student mobility is supported by UAA and generally backed by some interinstitutional collaboration agreement. At the end of their program, each student generates at least one research and / or technological development product derived from their thesis, in collaboration with their Tutorial Committee. Its lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge are: Area of Agronomic Sciences Agro-Food Production and Safety Management of Agroecosystems and Natural Resources Area of Veterinary Sciences Animal and Aquaculture Production and Health General objective Train human resources with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that allow them to apply and participate in the generation of knowledge, scientific and technological innovation, to solve in a scientific and interdisciplinary way, the problems of the agronomic and veterinary sciences. Specific objectives For the area of Agronomic Sciences Train human resources to apply and participate in the generation of scientific and technological knowledge and innovation in the agronomic sciences to address problems related to agro-food production and safety and the sustainable management of agroecosystems and natural resources to improve the quality of life of users . For the area of Veterinary Sciences Train human resources to apply and participate in the generation of knowledge and scientific and technological innovation related to the veterinary sciences by addressing social problems in health and animal production. Participate in projects of research and scientific and technological innovation according to the research line of student assignment oriented to the solution of problems affecting the agricultural sciences or veterinary sciences. To interpret the results of research and to generate conclusions that contribute in the solution of problems in the agronomic sciences or veterinary sciences. Communicate oral and written results and knowledge derived from scientific work. Attitudes and values Responsible and proactive attitude to analyze, assimilate, synthesize and apply new knowledge with scientific and ethical rigor. Availability and interest in acquiring new knowledge. Responsible participation in the solution of real problems related to the agronomic and veterinary sciences.
