Introduction
Community Care College is the only Medical Assistant program in the Tulsa area accredited by ABHES. Because of this, our residential graduates can sit for the Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) Examination. The CMA is nationally recognized as the gold standard of Medical Assisting certifications and allows the recipient to work anywhere in the United States. Graduates of the ‘Hybrid: Online & On-Campus’ program are eligible to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the highly respected American Medical Technologists, but not the CMA.
Medical Assistants combine their clinical and administrative skills for careers in physicians' offices, specialty practices, urgent care clinics, and other healthcare facilities. When you enter a physician’s office, the Medical Assistant is the first friendly face you see. They help the patient feel comfortable before the doctor comes in and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
