This engineer has a double specialization in Food and Health. This training also highlights the many relationships between them, both in humans.
His training naturally opens up a wide range of opportunities in the agri-food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, collective catering, public health, marketing and communication.
Specialist in prevention, nutrition and health benefits
An engineer from this specialty is trained to meet the new challenges of food thanks to the mastery of increasingly innovative tools. He is, for example, able to set up large-scale actions to induce a change in consumer behavior in the public health sector or to verify health claims related to new food products with actors in the food industry.
Marketing Specialist
He masters each of the components of the agri-food industry with a health connotation, both in its technological developments and in its most current scientific advances. He is thus able to propose, and even steer, the commercial strategies of companies in the sector, from the initial positioning of health-related products to the distribution stage.
Specialist in the food industry in the formulation and quality of food products. He is an engineer able to implement a quality or research and development approach throughout the food production chain, from the stage of the agricultural raw material to the delivery of the product, ready to be consumed. He or she is thus required to work in a variety of sectors: food or food supplement production, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, mass distribution, collective catering, services.

Curriculum
The Food and Health engineering training is accessible after 2 years of pre-engineering cycle .
It is structured around 4 main stages:
- Go LaSalle, a first international experience from the 1st semester
- 1 semester of common core specialty
- 3 semesters within the career path of your choice, including a 4-month “assistant engineer” internship
The last semesters of the career path can be completed in a partner university, in France or internationally, as part of an exchange semester, a double degree or a diploma stay. - The end-of-study project, which is based on an internship in a company or a research internship for students with student status, or on a long period in a company for students following apprenticeship training.
It gives rise to the writing of the end-of-studies thesis and an oral defense.
