Program description
General objective
Train nursing specialists in the area of management and teaching with professional skills that allow planning, organization, coordination, and control of administrative processes in health institutions in the public and private sectors, which help in solving problems or taking advantage of opportunities in Comprehensive health care for individuals and populations.
Specific objectives
- Apply strategic planning as a tool to design feasible solution proposals to operationalize, in order to prevent and address care management problems and thus increase the productivity and efficiency of nursing services.
- Carry out comprehensive diagnoses of nursing services aimed at detecting and prioritizing problems, opportunities and risks in care management, to implement programs and/or projects aimed at intervening in the detected situation with the methodological support of the administrative process.
- Develop research in the area of care management or service management, leading to quality nursing care and effective use of resources.
- Develop skills to identify the factors of organizational culture and its interrelation with the work environment in order to plan, implement and evaluate programs to achieve transformations in the various organizational structures.
- Develop a leadership attitude for the management of nursing services with a strategic vision that guarantees quality in the application of substantive processes of the organization for care management.
- Integrate the knowledge that supports the teaching-learning process, through the analysis of concepts, principles, elements, methods and objectives so that they can be applied for the benefit of the user population and in nursing educational programs.
- Contribute to the continuing education of nursing professionals to promote the quality, safety and satisfaction of users of nursing services.
- Develop nursing education projects that meet the requirements of health institutions, professional and social needs.
- Empower managerial nursing staff to train and update human resources for health at different educational levels, in accordance with national requirements and institutional objectives.
