Introduction
The program of the Master of Permanent Training in Periodontics and Osseointegration of Rey Juan Carlos University aims to provide a solid theoretical formation based on the academic preparation of the teaching staff and on the teaching and scientific methodology used for this purpose. Completed and supported by an extensive preclinical and fundamental clinical practice, with the aim of turning the generalist dentist into a trained and recognized periodontist, to address both the diagnosis and the prevention and treatment of periodontal pathology, in its different forms. aspects and possibilities. In addition, training the periodontist in implantology to support periodontal treatments, through the placement and prosthetic loading of osseointegrated implants. Helping the patient to regain a stable and functional occlusion, resorting to implantology to achieve comprehensive and harmonious rehabilitation. It also seeks to solve the problems derived from peri-implant pathology, through predictable techniques.
Goals
- Introduce and train postgraduate students in the different periodontal therapeutic techniques, from basic treatments to the most advanced techniques and the different surgical procedures applicable to periodontal pathology.
- Teach postgraduate students the different rehabilitative treatment options with implant techniques, for those periodontal patients with missing teeth due to periodontal pathology.
- Offer the patients of the University Clinic of the URJC more complete and inclusive therapeutic alternatives for the pursuit of the objective of improving oral health.
- Serve as a framework to be a seedbed and germ of research nuclei, developing lines of scientific production.
