Aalborg University (AAU) is a fairly young and very modern university established in 1974. Situated in Denmark, the University’s main campus is placed in Aalborg, but it also has a campus in Esbjerg and one in the Danish capital Copenhagen.

The University offers high-quality education with more than 60 programmes taught in English within the fields of natural sciences, engineering, health sciences. social sciences and humanities.

The University has a strong focus on innovation and creativity, which is especially visible in Aalborg University’s well-reputed study method problem-based learning or the Aalborg Model, which has been shown to be close to optimal for the learning process in an evaluation by the OECD.

Problem-based learning entails working project-oriented with real life, field-relevant problems in a group of your fellow students.
